Day 5 Sunday, March 13 Tallinn, Estonia - 10:00
Just before Toivo heads to his game 200 km from Tallinn, he and Adam meet us in front of the old town hall for a few words and pictures for the blog.
With his windswept hair, a stereotypical characteristic of many regional players, Adam mounts his helmet on the end of his stick and poses in an empty and quiet city square. "I like speed, hitting and scoring," he says between gritted teeth looking forward to his next game.
After locating the car, Josey and I quickly drive to the northernmost tip of Estonia in the hopes of seeing a moose or deer, but most importantly, gain a glimpse of the presumably frozen Baltic Sea.
With many a missed picturesque moment - endless rows of coniferous trees and empty snowdust covered highways lit frostily by the winter sun, our pending 8 to 9 hour drive back to somewhere in Lithuania forced haste upon us and tested the capacity of our visual memory drives. Estonian and Latvian drivers alike systematically saw the fading backside of our 4-cylinder munchkin-of-a-car rental.
